Distributed wind is a small, dedicated corner of the renewable energy industry — and we're growing. If you've got mechanical and electrical aptitude, a head for safety, and you're willing to climb a tower for a living, we'd like to talk.
You'll work on privately owned, distributed-scale wind turbines from 10 kW to 1 MW — plus occasional utility-scale contract jobs on machines up to 3 MW — across the US and occasionally on international jobs. The work is hands-on and varied. One week you might be running an annual inspection on a turbine at a Wisconsin farm; the next, you're up-tower swapping a generator in Iowa or coordinating a crane lift for a major component replacement.
The job mixes mechanical work — gearboxes, drivetrains, alignments, hydraulics, brakes — with electrical troubleshooting on controls, generators, inverters, and sensors. There's the physical side too: climbing towers up to 80 meters, working at height, moving heavy gear. It's not for everyone. But for the right person, it's some of the most rewarding work in renewable energy. You finish a job and the turbine is spinning again, generating clean power for the next decade.

You don't need to have done wind before — though it helps. We've trained good people who came up in industrial electrical, mechanical maintenance, the military, or the trades. What we can't teach is the mindset.
Non-negotiable. We don't take shortcuts on rigging, fall protection, or electrical lockout. If you have the same instinct, we'll get along.
Comfortable with hand tools, torque specs, schematics, and multimeters. Ready to learn what you don't know.
Or willing to get there. We provide the training and the gear.
Most of our work is regional, but jobs take us across the US and occasionally abroad. Clean driving record required.
