Who we are

Wind professionals, focused on a niche.

AEM has serviced distributed wind for over a decade, with leadership experience going back 15+ years. We were founded by people who came up doing the technical work — and that's still where our depth lives.

Our specialty is privately owned turbines from 10 kW to 1 MW — systems that matter to their owners but don't get the service infrastructure utility-scale wind farms do. Parts get scarce, manufacturers go quiet, options dry up. That's the gap we fill.

That focus doesn't stop at the megawatt mark. We've performed contract work on utility-scale machines in the 2–3 MW class — inspections, component work, and project support. Distributed wind is our wheelhouse; megawatt-scale work is well within it.

How we look at a turbine

Repair first. Repower if it's needed. Remove when it's done.

When a client calls about a problem, our job is to give an honest assessment — the option that delivers the best financial return and longevity for the turbine. The order matters.

What we care about

Four values, every job.

  • Safety, for our techs and your turbine

Two kinds of safety go into every job. Technician safety: every climb, rig, and electrical procedure planned, briefed, and crewed properly — no shortcuts on fall protection or lockout/tagout. Turbine safety: the same care extends to your asset — maintained, inspected, and repaired to OEM specifications, protecting the long-term reliability of your system.

  • Lasting fixes, not chase work

We don't just clear the alarm and leave. We find the actual problem and the actual fix, so we're not back next month for the same thing.

  • Documentation that works for you

Every job is documented — photos collected in the field, findings and work recorded in field service reports. That record helps you make informed decisions about your turbine, and a documented history is a safer turbine.

  • Straightforward communication

If a turbine isn't worth bringing back, we'll tell you. If a repower beats a repair, we'll tell you that too. Every recommendation is aimed at the best financial return and the longest service life for your turbine.
